Welcome to the official Web site for the Leslie Ann Ballard Melanoma Research FundSM.
Leslie's Fund was established in December 2004 by the friends and family of Leslie Ann Ballard of Phoenix, Ariz., who was diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma at age 45 and died five months later.
The mission of Leslie's Fund is to raise financial contributions for research into improved diagnostics and treatment - and hopefully a cure - for melanoma skin cancer. All funds raised by Leslie's Fund are contributed directly to the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), based in Phoenix, Ariz. and will be used solely by TGen for melanoma research in Arizona. TGen is also the fund administrator.
